When I put on the magic spectacles, I became a lifelong student of Macrobiotics and the Order of the Universe. Once the writings of Michio Kushi opened my eyes to the oneness of the universe, observing yin-yang in nature & daily life became my greatest endeavor alongside understanding the energy of food. I have had many teachers, most notably Carol Louro of the New Bedford East West Center, and Edward Esko of the International Macrobiotic Institute, from which I graduated all three levels. I have been published in Macrobiotics Today magazine, been a featured speaker on the Rice House Whole Health Forum, and the 2024 Macrobiotic Winter Conference.
When I began learning about crystals, I found out that within their atomic structure, the very fiber of their being, they contain sacred geometry, spiral growth patterns, and mirror the order of the universe itself. I began to see them not just as objects, but as a beautiful part of nature to discover, appreciate, and be one with. Just like the plants in the ground, the wind in the air, the currents in the ocean, and the planets in the solar system, crystals are yet another way to observe the order of the universe, the law of god, from right here on earth.
I will always be a student first and foremost. The more I learn, the more there is for me to learn. There is no end to the new ideas and subjects that teach me about life and the universe itself. In 2021 I found the true elation and joy I receive when sharing knowledge of the things I am most passionate about with others. I offer in-person and online classes on a variety of topics.
Since the earliest days I remember, I have loved making things. Drawing pictures, writing stories, cooking food... I love creating! I studied fine art and received a BFA in Painting, and later another BFA in Textile Design & Fiber Arts. I worked as a visual merchandiser in fashion styling & window display for 10 years. I love expressing myself through writing (check out my blog) & nowadays, quilting is my outlet for visual art. Playing with color, pattern, and geometry brings me endless joy, and nothing compares to sleeping under a handmade quilt.
